This place is a little hidden gem in Galesburg! The tacos and enchiladas were delicious! 5 tacos, 3 enchiladas, and 2 sodas for 18.00 is a steal!! The waitress was amazing too

Come be a part of history at Galesburg's first Mexican restaurant from years ago. Enjoy the friendly service, cold beer, and prices that can't be beat! Had the large combo plate - the regular would have been plenty. Preferred the pork over the beef. Service could not have been better.

Hideout is exactly what it is. Off the beaten path, back in the cut, more history than you are old. Great food, great staff, cheap prices. I highly recommend checking out this hidden gem of Galesburg

Great service, our tacos were excellent, the table hot sauce was delicious and the atmosphere is chill with a lightly surreal, pocket of time kinda feel.

Every town has a place that caters to the locals, offering great food at fantastic prices. In Galesburg this little gem is Taco Hideout. It's off the beaten path, almost hidden, but well worth the journey to eat there. It's not much to look at when you arrive and the inside is dated, yet it all adds to the charm of this local legend. You can eat like a king, every plate is under 7 and the portions are decent sized. They offer several varieties of tacos and enchiladas as well as appetizers like chips and beans, jalapeno poppers, and quesadillas. They are most known for their 5 for 5, five tacos or enchiladas for 5. To top it all off they also offer the elusive Bun Taco, although they call it a taco burger, for those unfamiliar its a taco served on hamburger buns rather than in a shell. You'll find the sodas served from the can with a cup of ice, and if you are in the mood for Cerveza they got you covered, including margaritas. This place gets busy, a testament to the food, service and history. Our server, Dawn H. was like the energizer bunny, just going and going. Dawn was super nice and friendly, definitely our favorite server. So if you are passing through the Galesburg area, do yourself a favor and drop on in, if you are lucky enough to be there while Dawn is working give her a double thumbs up for me. *Cash only, they do have any ATM.

Affordable great food and wonderful service. This ain't no fancy place but it definitely has personality. Outside patio is my fave cuz not only do they have nice flowers, and music to go with the fresh air. It isn't as loud (like most eateries) for my sensitive ears. Definitely a place to go.
